This photo journal records the devastation of approximately 100 square miles caused by the fire now known as the Valley Fire. Each photo in this series represents a form of habitat loss. Initial emergency response and support was swift and hazard removal is ongoing. Much of the habitat loss was old growth forested area. Recovery from such a dramatic blow to human and wildlife habitat will certainly move at a snails pace for those immediately affected.
